When APC Talk About ’16 Years of PDP’s Misrule’

 Mohammed

When the All Progressives Congress (APC) talk about gleefully as they often do about ’16 years of PDP’s misrule’ of Nigeria, do the party’s calculation also include eight years of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who now styles himself as one of the key initiators of the change that brought President Muhammadu Buhari to power?
Do they also include Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s eight years as the nation’s number two citizen from 1999-2007?; Does it include the eight years that Mr Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi spent as the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly and seven and a half years as governor of Rivers State?; Does it include Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso’s  four years as minister of defence and seven and a half years as the governor of Kano State? Does it include Malam Nasir el-Rufai’s three years as Director General of Bureau for Public Enterprises and five years as the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja?; Does it include Senator Danjuma Goje’s eight years as governor of Gombe State and three and a half years as senator? Does it include Senator Wamakko’s seven and a half years as PDP governor of Sokoto State? Does it include Senator Chris Ngige’s three or so years as governor of Anambra State? Does it also include Senator Shehu Sani’s years as special assistant to President Olusegun Obasanjo? Does it include Senator Dino Melaye’s years as PDP House of Representatives member?; Does it include the years that Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State was the Speaker of the House of Representatives?; Does it include the years that Chief Audu Ogbeh was the national chairman of PDP? Does it also indeed include the time when majority of the present governors of 19 northern states are in PDP? The list is endless!
I think it is ill-advised for APC leaders to be in the same room with the aforementioned folks and be talking about wasted 16 years of PDP, after all “old women are uncomfortable when dry bones are mentioned.”
