Move Over Babangida, Goodluck Jonathan Is the Real 'Evil Genius'!

Marking his 75th birthday recently former military president, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida stated that he was no evil genius. He is right. Even if he is an evil genius, his capacity for evil, pales in comparison to that of the former President Goodluck Jonathan. Jonathan is the real evil genius!
In the run up to the 2015 elections, in many parts of the north, he was alleged to be the sponsor of Boko Haram. Nigerians were regaled albeit in hushed tones on how Boko Haram were receiving arms and food supplies in the middle of the nights by helicopters allegedly at the instance of federal government headed by Jonathan. Those who carried these tales were bolstered by a former military head of state who said that there are three types of Boko Haram; The original Boko Haram led by Mohammed Yusuf; The criminal Boko Haram; and Federal Government Boko Haram, which he described as the biggest. Jonathan was
accused of using Boko Haram to kill and depopulate the north of Nigeria,
especially the North East. He was the only professing Christian President in
the world that sponsors an Islamic sect to Islamise his country. With the help
of Boko Haram that he sponsored he succeeded in making his government
ungovernable and still hoped to be re-elected in the 2015 general election.
And when he
lost the 2015 election, he was not ready to relinquish power to the
presidential candidate of the opposition that defeated him and his party. He
was desperate to stay in power. The reasons he gave for not accepting the
result was the failure of the card reader-especially in his strongholds
including in Bayelsa State where the card reader could not recognize the
president and his wife; massive over-voting in Kano and many northern states
where underage were allowed to vote by INEC officials among others. He was
determined to cancel the elections but was later coerced by the United Nations,
United States, African Union, and ECOWAS to concede defeat.
This Otuoke
born politician who vowed that “if
what happens in 2011 should again happen in 2015, by the grace of God, ‘the dog
and the baboon would all be soaked in blood”, had a Plan B.
Just as he
made his own government ungovernable by sponsoring Boko Haram against it, he
was also sponsoring militants to make the government of his successor
ungovernable. He was the person that originated militancy in Niger Delta. Even
Ken Saro Wiwa was his boy. That was why former President Olusegun Obasanjo rail
road him to the Presidency to be the vice president to Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and
ultimately the president of Nigeria in 2011. Obasano wanted a militant in Aso
Rock and Jonathan fits.
For
sponsoring Boko Haram in North East and militants in Niger Delta and still have
the respect of the international community, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe
Jonathan, is the real evil genius!
