Uwadima Nominated For Fellowship Of Institute Of Management Consultants

The Council of the Institute of  Management Consultants (IMC-Nigeria) has nominated Abuja-based media practitioner, Mr Paul Uwadima for the Fellowship of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC).

In a letter to Mr Paul Uwadima, conveying the nomination by the Council and signed by the Director General, Institute Of Management Consultants (IMC-Nigeria) Professor David Iornem, the Institute said that “This is the highest grade of the Institute’s Membership and is reserved for accomplished professionals of your level and status in the profession. This is not an invitation to receive an Honorary Fellowship. You are well and appropriately educated in your field of professional calling. You have ample experience that makes you suitable to add Management Consultancy as a platform to offer your knowledge and expertise as a commodity in the knowledge economy. So, the Institute of Management Consultants is extending this humble invitation to you to consider the possibility of becoming a full professional member of the Institute. We believe your knowledge and experience can add value to what we have been doing over the years. We also believe that we can contribute to making your professional knowledge available to society through the platform of Management Consultancy.”

According to Professor Iornem, the CMC (Certified Management Consultant) qualification is granted by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMC). He noted that the IMC-Nigeria is accredited by the International Council To Assess Practitioners and award the CMC qualification to professionals who meet the requirements set down for the CMC Designation.

“The CMC Certification is the highest qualification any management consultant can aspire to attain. It is globally accepted and it is reciprocally recognized in over 50 countries,” he added.

He wrote that the Fellowship would be conferred on Mr Paul Uwadima in Abuja on Thursday, February 27, 2020, at the Rock View Hotel Abuja during the “IMC-Nigeria Certification Workshop & Membership/Fellowship Induction February 20” in which membership and fellowship induction would take place in Lagos and Abuja respectively. He revealed that while the Abuja induction would take place on February 27, that of Lagos would take place on Friday, February 28.

Mr Paul Uwadima, a graduate of the University of Calabar, has postgraduate professional qualifications in Journalism, Management and Environmental Management respectively. His writings on Management issues have been published in professional journals locally and internationally. He has also held several senior editorial positions as a media practitioner in Nigeria over the years. Paul Uwadima is the author of several ebooks and paperbacks published on www.amazon.com platform.

In his reaction to his nomination for the Fellowship of IMC-Nigeria, Paul Uwadima, who is also a member of Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) said that he never knew that his writings on management both locally and internationally had been noticed and thanked the Council of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC-Nigeria) for finding him worthy to become a Fellow of the revered professional institute.

The members of the Board of Trustees of the IMC-Nigeria include; Alhaji Aliko Mohammed, Major General I.B.M. Haruna (rtd), Amb. Prof. Iyorwuese Hagher and Professor David Iornem. Professor Jerry Agada is the President of the Governing Council of the Institute.
