If you have seen the Abuja-Kaduna railway line nearing completion which was initiated and is being built by President Goodluck Jonathan and you still go about saying that Jonathan has not achieved anything: SHAME ON YOU!

Not since the colonial period has Nigeria seen such massive transformation of the rail sector which is taking the country right into the 21^st Century. In the case of Abuja-Kaduna Railway the economic benefits are massive. Not only that by the action of Jonathan the land value of the rail routes have skyrocketed it has also presented opportunity for economic development of towns and villages along the route. With this development a resident of Kaduna can stay in his beloved Kaduna and work in Abuja and therefore avoids the high cost of accommodation and living in Abuja.

The Abuja-Kaduna railway spans 187.5km and reduces travel time from three hours by bus to one hour and 20 minutes. It would carry over 5,000 passengers between the two cities daily. It would also convey annually 3, 000,000 tons of cargo. This is unprecedented.

And for those who say that Jonathan has not created any jobs, and that the statistics from the Minister of Finance were cooked up and that talk of job creations is all propaganda, I have a question for you; Is it spirits that laid the rail line from Abuja to Kaduna?
