Idiotic Reasons Why Nnamdi Ebo Thinks Biafra Will Be A Disaster
Writing in
Thisday on Tuesday September 12, 2017, in an opinion entitled, “The Aftermath
Of A New Biafra”, Nnamdi Ebo wrote, “If anybody thinks that the Igbo have trouble
in Nigeria now, wait and see trouble in the new Biafra. No Anambra man will let
an Enugu man be president, no Imo man will let an Abia man or Ebonyi man be
president, No Southwest Igbo ‘Ijekeebe’ will allow a North East Igbo ‘Wawa’ to
become to become president”.
You are then
forced to ask how did Ndigbo at various times made Dr Michael Okpara (present
day Abia State) premier of Eastern Region? ; Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe (present day,
Anambra State) as Premier of Eastern Region; Dr Akanu Ibiam (present day Ebonyi
State) Governor of Eastern Region? How did Ndigbo in general agreed in one
voice for General Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu to be their head of state for three
solid years while the Biafra lasted?
That is how
they sold the lie that the Igbo are never united. Yet the Igbo in one voice
voted for Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe to be president in 1979 under NPP. They did similar
thing in 1983 with massive votes for Zik, even though the election was
massively rigged by the ruling NPN. The Igbo in 2011 and 2015 massively gave
all their votes to an Ijaw, Dr Goodluck Jonathan and if that is not unity I don’t
know what is. Only recently one Nnamdi Kanu told Ndigbo to sit at home to
commemorate millions of Ndigbo killed in the Nigerian civil war and they obeyed
him, while those who claim that Ndigbo can never unite for one cause started ‘shitting
on their pants’ and starting plotting more devilish ways to kill the peaceful
agitators.
Recall that
after massively voting for Jonathan in 2015 and he lost, those who claimed that
Ndigbo can never be united turned a spin into it. They were no longer saying
that Igbo can never be united, but rather that Ndigbo are not ‘politically
mature,’ that they put all their eggs in one basket. They use this explanation
to justify the exclusion of Ndigbo in the government of Nigeria presently.
In
conclusion those of us who support ONE NIGERIA should give more plausible
reasons why that is the best option than division. We must not do it to
ridicule those who do not share our views. NIGERIA SHALL BE GREAT AGAIN!
