Buhari’s Failure To Congratulate World Bank Vice President/Treasurer Arunma Oteh

Arunma Oteh
Is it because Arunma Oteh, is from the ‘five per cent zone’, that the federal government of Nigeria lead by President Muhammadu Buhari has not congratulated her on her well-deserved appointment as World Bank Vice President and Treasurer, a position that puts her in charge of $150billion Work Bank assets? Or because it would mock their narrative that everyone that was appointed by former President Goodluck Jonathan was corrupt, yet World Bank found Arunma Oteh clean for the universal job? Besides, if Jonathan was such a bad economic manager that left ‘empty treasury’ how come that one of every country’s core economic indicator of well managed economy-The Stock Exchange- was so well managed under Oteh that World Bank noticed and gave her the job without Aso Rock’s approval? This must have made Aso Rock uncomfortable. In such uncomfortable state even the president’s men that manage his media image were also confused on what to do.
If you noticed the speed the president used in congratulating the newly elected Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) President that the election held last week, and the delay in congratulating Oteh, you begin to wonder which one was more valuable to a president that met ‘empty treasury’: NUJ President or World Bank Vice President and Treasurer?
