BEN MURRAY-BRUCE: POLITICS OF FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL AGAIN!

Have you seen " The Ben Bruce Plan: Fuel Subsidy Removal" being advertised by Ben Murray-Bruce, chairman Silverbird Group and one 'Biodun Otunola. It is difficult to believe that this advert running in several newspapers were being sponsored out of the "hard earned" personal resources of silverbird chief out of "public interest". I do not believe that one of Nigeria's plutocrats is doing this in "public interest". Promoters of subsidy removal may have adopted a new strategy. Whoever sent Ben Murray-Bruce to do this should be told point blank that Nigerians will never accept subsidy removal from this government or any government for that matter, until all the fancy public transport systems that Murray-Bruce talked about in the advert are put in place. We the masses do not want any outlandish plan that tells us that after the subsidy is removed the money generated would be used to provide "first class" transport system. If the transport system is not revolutionized first before the subsidy removal, they should sold their ideas to the marines.By the way why is Jonathan and his cronies so fixed about fuel subsidy removal? If they cannot run the country without removing the subsidy, let them step aside let those who can do better step in!
When Nigerians think that the fuel subsidy question should no longer an issue, out of the blues the government will bring it back, all in the bid to seduce the public with their promises. If you ask an average Nigerian, what concerns him now is the  half hearted way the government was going about recovering the several trillions of Naira stolen in the guise of fuel subsidy. Even the so-called palliatives that SURE-P was expected to provide are no where to be found. All we see from SURE-P are media orchestrated hype of what the body has achieved even as legal questions about the allocations to the body continue to dog it.
