Obasanjo's Many 'Sins' Against PDP And Nigeria

Former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is the greatest beneficiary of PDP's dominance of Nigeria for 16years.He was the party's first presidential candidate and president of Nigeria for eight years that was characterised by corruption, political assassinations, rigging of elections, debauchery including allegation of Obasanjo sleeping with his son's wife for which the son swore an affidavit against his father. That alone was enough sin to shut Obasanjo's mouth permanently in public sphere. Having no shame he still pontificates as moral voice for Nigeria. Aside his sexual recklessness, the assassination of Bola Ige which Obasanjo fell to unravel, the building of his mansion at Abeokuta, his abuse of office by acquiring shares in Transcorp; establishment of Bell University, genocide against Odi and Zaki Biam communities in Bayelsa and Benue states was enough for Obasanjo to be in jail. That Nigeria is in darkness today is because Obasanjo and his cohorts stole $16billion meant for the power sector. After Abacha he is the next in line as Nigeria's most corrupt leader ever. The old despot yesterday dumped the party that raised him from having only N20,000 when he was released from prison to become a billionaire and one of the richest living Africans.
