Lies About Bart Nnaji's Sack

According to the LEADERSHIP of 3, September, 2012, the minister of power, Prof. Bart Nnaji's sack or if you like resignation has sparked investors panic, with World Bank,EU,DFID,AfDB, USAID and others literally protesting his sack by federal government.Mr. Philippe, head of cooperation, EU, expressed EU's frustration thus:"when Brussels got the news, it was alarmed and expressed doubts about the continuity of the reforms in the sector". On his part the World Bank Representative, Erik Feinstiom said:" and we were not left in any doubts that his(Nnaji's) focus, passion and direction for the sector was heading to the promised land. "The Nigerian people had witnessed living standard just for the improved electricity supply. It will be a grave setback if things start slowing down at this point." They pointedly told the minister of state for power, Mr. Darius Ishaku that their confidence in the process had been jolted. Now if the major players in world's privatisation process are saying literally that what 'offence' Nnaji purportedly committed does not deserve a sack, it then begs the question whose interest is his sack supposed to serve?.Remember that the president said he was sacked or resigned to save the privatisation process but now the people Jonathan was supposedly trying to please are unhappy which means that Nnaji may have been sacrificised on the altar of Nigerian factor rather than to save the privatsation process. In the fullness of time the truth will come out especially if those without any pedigree in the power sector emerges victorious in the privatisation of the power stations.
