2015 Presidency: APC’s Internal Wars Intensify As Buhari Accuses Opponents Of Blackmail

A group in support of the presidential ambition of former head of state and leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC), General Muhammadu Buhari has accused an unnamed opponent of the General in the race for APC presidential ticket of running campaign of blackmail against Buhari allegedly using a Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) fathom group.

The group, Admirers Of Buhari Coalition(ABC) in a widely circulated newspapers advertorial entitled “Cowards, Show Your Faces” and signed by Alhaji Abdulkadir Ahmed claimed that an earlier advert entitled “ They say Maj-Gen Buhari is a man of his words. Indeed!” and in which Buhari was portrayed as a man who cannot keep his words having promised that 2011 election would be the last he would contest but has reneged on the promise by declaring to contest again in 2015 and was signed by The PDP Resurgent Group & The Joint Council Against Falsehood, was actually the handiwork of an APC opponent of Buhari.

According to Admirers Of Buhari Coalition, “ Of late, a series of advertisements have been placed in newspapers, signing off with ‘PDP Resurgent Group’ in propriety, and deriding Major-General Muhammdu Buhari(rtd) and his aspiration to emerge as the presidential candidate of APC.

“Gen. Buhari is an aspirant on the APC platform. He is NOT yet the presidential candidate of the APC, so how does it bother other political parties including the PDP now? Is it the PDP or other aspirants in other political parties that recently called General Buhari a ‘religious fundamentalist’? Is it the PDP or other aspirants from other political parties that said one month ago that if General Buhari contests that he would ‘be a man without integrity’?

“COWARDS and DESPERATE presidential aspirants of the same party should put a face to their de-marketing claims on other aspirants and be frontal and bold. We know you and your ‘media managers’ that placed the advert through a PR agency in Lagos cloning ‘PDP Resurgent Group’. And we will expose you if you elect to remain CHEAP. You cannot aspire to rule Nigeria through BLACKMAIL, DECEIT and COWARDICE. Put a face to your DESPERATION. Don’t clone an organisation. We repeat, we know you.”
