Falana Decries Non-payment Of Workers Salaries By State Govts

Buhari
Lagos Lawyer, and human rights activist, Mr. Femi Falana has lamented  non-payment of workers salaries in some states of the country, saying the development requires urgent solutions.
Falana  who spoke at a forum organised by Nigerians United For Democracy in Lagos to appraise the state of the nation urged the government to adopt robust economic policies that would revamp the nation's economy.
According to him, the federal government should immediately  jettison economic prescriptions from international organisations that are inimical to the nation's development.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria noted that the crises being faced by the Nigerian economy has come to a stage that  about 30 states of the federation can no longer pay the legal salaries of their workers.
He said that apart from the case of Osun State that has been widely reported, there are other states in the country owing more than 10 months.
"Let's put these issues in global perspective with respect to the management of the affairs of our country.  The president went to G-7 summit and we were happy . He went to the G-7 summit with a bowl please do this and that for us. Again we must interrogate that.
