You Will Come Back With Empty Stomach, Jonathan Tells PDP Defectors

Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has warned Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members that have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), to stay in the party or risk returning back to PDP with empty stomach.
The president spoke today at the submission of the report of the Presidential Campaign Organisation at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Berating such defectors, he noted that the APC is aware that they are coming because they are hungry saying the APC will first take care of its original members and before the food will get to the defectors it is gone.
While noting that the PDP lost the presidential election with only two million votes, he insisted that the party remains the dominant party in the country and is not beholden to any one person. He therefore urged PDP members to stay strong and strategize on how to win subsequent elections.
Questioning the result of the election in some states where he was defeated the president stated that he conceded defeat to bring peace to the country. He also revealed that he did not consult any of the PDP members before conceding defeat, saying he did it for the peace of the country. He also noted that some PDP members are bearing the brunt of his defeat as they are being prosecuted but encouraged them to be loyal to the party.
The president also revealed for the first time that some western countries had their ships stationed around West African coasts to evacuate their people when the post-election crisis began but expressed happiness that they had nobody to evacuate after the elections.
