National Hospital Denies Referring Zack Orji

 

National Hospital Abuja has said that popular Nollywood actor, Zack Orji, who was brought to the hospital on New Year's Eve, left the hospital against medical advice.

This was in response to a publication insinuating that the hospital referred the actor to a private hospital in Abuja.

National Hospital spokesperson, Tayo Haastrup, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, said the actor was stabilised by the hospital and moved to the ENT ward, and was later transferred to the orthopedic ward, where the surgeons began preparing him for surgery.

He said, "However, the relatives of the patient signed a form ‘Leaving Against Medical Advice’ on January 1, 2024. This thwarted all preparations for his surgery."
