Chairman of caretaker committee of the
All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Chief Tony Okocha, has
declared that the target of the party's leadership in the state, is to take
over the state government come 2027.
Okocha made the declaration yesterday
when the Forum of Former APC Local Government Chairmen, paid him a solidarity
visit at his residence in Port Harcourt.
The APC caretaker committee chairman
reaffirmed that the party under his leadership, will run an all-inclusive
administration.
He thanked the former LGA party
chairmen for the visit and promised to carry everybody along in the affairs of
the party.
Earlier in his speech, the coordinator
of the forum, Hon Frank Aribodor, said they decided to visit Okocha to pledge
their solidarity, support, and total loyalty to him.
Aribodor assured him of the forum's
readiness to work with the APC caretaker committee chairman, in repositioning
the party ahead of the upcoming elections.
