Police Yet To Find Delta Landlord Who Killed Undergraduate

Delta State police command has not been able to fish out the landlord, Mr Ajari Ajaska Felix, after he allegedly shot dead an undergraduate.

The victim, Ishie Abraham, a final year student of the Department of Computer Science, was allegedly shot dead a week ago by the landlord who alongside his family members have disappeared.

While tongues are waging that for over one week security agencies are unable to fish out the suspect or any member of his family, tension is also mounting up at the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, where the killing took place.

Delta State police public relations officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the development, claimed intense investigation is ongoing over the matter.

Meanwhile, the Student Union Government (SUG) of the polytechnic has called for calm over the matter.

In a statement signed by the SUG leaders of the polytechnic, Comrade Jagboro Champion, president and Comrade Oweiotu-Ebi Oyinkare- Ebi Joseph, secretary general, they called on the student community and the general public to be patient as investigation into the said incidence has commenced.

While condemning the killing, the SUG and the management of the institution said they are currently working with security agencies to tackle the issue.

“Measures have been put in place to make sure that the culprit do not go unpunished as he has been declared wanted. We enjoin all students to stay calm as the situation is currently under control,” the SUG stated.
